MARTHA STEWART: Tuscan summer weekend at the magical Villa Montanare

Rehearsal: We started in this stunning wedding weekend with a dreamy rehearsal dinner. The theme was quickly clear: it must be a pizza party! With everything you would dreaming about. The pizza party take place under the beautiful wine pergola of the amazing Villa Montanare. Silke of Weddings by Silke recommended us as décor a mix of herbs and lemons. We had these lovely wooden tables and chairs and Silke styled the tables with pretty offwhite tablerunner of Silk & Willow, the most beautiful mixed herbs like rosemary, thyme, mint, lavender, sage and mini olive trees – covered so lovely by Fineartflowers Tuscany with a jute net – and countless lemons. Our wonderful caterer Preludio Catering from Cortona pampered us with the most yummy pizza – as showcooking in front of us and our guests, an dreamy mozzarella corner and delicious Italian Gelato Artigiano. Everything was perfect, we couldn’t imagine a warmer welcome for all our guests who was travelling so far to join our best day ever.

Ceremony décor (altar, flowers, aisle runner, etc.): As the surroundings of Villa Montanare are so natural and beautiful we decided for a simple organic arch with olivebranches. We choose wooden chairs for the ceremony. Along the aisle we had beautiful white peonies and olives for the chairs.

Reception décor (centerpieces, linens, place settings, lighting): For the marvelous wedding reception we decided for a simple organic décor which was styled perfectly by Weddings by Silke and Fineartflowers Tuscany with olive branches, antique golden candleholders with white candles. We choose white tablerunner and light grey napkins. Together with the golden cutlery and the glasses with the gold accents it turns out so stunning. The fairy lights in the olive trees gave the whole setting the ultimate romantic touch.
